Our Founder

Mr. G. Channappa is a distinguished development professional with a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Mysore (1986) and an ARI Graduate from Japan (2006). He began his career in 1987, working closely with tribal communities across various districts of Karnataka, focusing on their socio-economic upliftment and sustainable development.

Over the years, Mr. Channappa has been actively involved in numerous development initiatives, particularly in the areas of tribal welfare, natural resource management, and community empowerment. From 2005 onwards, he served as a resource person, facilitating training programs on Sustainable Forest Management, Biodiversity Conservation, Sustainable Agriculture, Land Rights, and Social Empowerment. Between 2007 and 2014, he played a key role aimed at conserving and protecting natural forests and biodiversity, while also promoting afforestation, soil, and moisture conservation on degraded forest lands—achieved through the active participation of local rural communities.

Recipient of Rajiv Gandhi Environment Award for the year 2004-05 from Ministry of Forest, Environment and Biology, Government of Karnataka by His Excellency T.N.Chathurvedi, Governor of Karnataka the Amount is Rs 1,00,000-00 and certificate . The amount had been used for the plantation programme at rural schools.

Yes. We are registered under 12A and 80G, so donations qualify for tax exemption. We are also registered under FCRA for international donations
