CHINTHANA FOUNDATION was formed in the year 1995 by a team of likeminded social workers, educationist, professionals, with an aim to create a holistic emancipation and empowerment of rural poor and marginalized for sustainable development through social economy, education and health irrespective of caste, creed, colour, race, and religion. Especially prioritizing on backward classes, minority, reserved communities and tribals women children.
Chinthana foundation was conceived with an objective of promoting living standards of rural and marginalized people of the society by ensuring food security, economic opportunities, environment, educational, social and cultural promotion. Channappa.G, founder of the organization, with likeminded persons formed and registered Chinthana Foundation in the year 1995.
The organization believes that “Development depends upon qualitative transformation of the society where social justice and human welfare occurs by planned and organized activities of people’s involvement. With year’s long experience in the rural development field especially among tribal and Rural people, Chinthana foundation had formulated and implemented various developmental plans since its inception. “

1. Creating and enabling environment for the poor and under privileged to expose themselves for realities of life.
2. Discovering their own inherent potentials and exploring the avenues, opportunities to optimize these abilities and potentials.
3. Equipping them to apply their critical circumstances and strive to take charge of their own development thus become masters of their own destiny.
